Dr. Soltero is Board Certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), as well as a Fellow of the Academy College of Surgeons (FACS).

When you choose a Plastic Surgeon, he or she should have these three very important certifications.  What does this mean?

It means your Plastic Surgeon is a “real” Plastic Surgeon (not a “cosmetic” doctor), that he has graduated from the best programs and has completed the training to perform highly complex procedures only a ASPS Board Certified Plastic Surgeons can.  Dr. Soltero attended pre-med at Tufts University and Medical School at Georgetown University.  He completed a three year residency at Georgetown University Hospital in General Surgery and a five year Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) program which included a specialization in burn reconstruction.  Dr. Soltero was the first to pioneer  the development of Fat Grafting techniques, that led to the creation of Stem Cell equipment to perform such Plastic Surgery Procedures as Fat Transfer to the face, to the breasts and buttocks (Brazilian Butt Lift).

Dr. Soltero has a well established practice in La Jolla, California, at his 4510 Executive Dr. location.  He is also part of the University of California San Diego staff, serving as voluntary professor in their Plastic Surgery Division Department.  Dr. Soltero is also  part of the staff at Scripps La Jolla, Scripps Encinitas and Palomar Hospitals,  where he formerly served as Chief of Plastic Surgery.  Dr. Soltero has privileges at all these hospitals, this means he is up to date and active as Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in all the strict requirements to perform cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery at these hospitals.
